Mama, I made it! The New York Times recently featured the men of Skadden in a piece called “Statement Suits at a White-Shoe Law Firm”. I feel beyond blessed to have been pictured on the front page of the Men’s Style Section. Huge thanks to John Ortved and the New York Times for such an awesome opportunity. Read on for some more pics and a breakdown of my look.
OH YEAHH! OH YEAHHH! (For shame if that reference was lost on you). I don't know about ya'll but I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the feature-length Entourage film. The Boys are officially back on June 3rd, after nearly four years since the series finale in 2011. I watched Entourage religiously during its 8-season run, starting when I was a sophomore in high school and ending after I graduated from college. Needless to say, I basically grew up with Vinny, E, Turtle, Drama, and, of course, Ari muthaf*cking Gold. While each of the cast members holds a special place near and dear to my heart, this is a blog about men's style, so the focus of this post will be the on the only character with any semblance of style, and that's Ari. Unlike Vinny, who dressed like a stoned teenager, or Drama, who dressed like a rodeo clown (yes, that's a thing), Ari dressed like, well, the most powerful agent in Hollywood. Based on the real-life Ari Emanuel, Ari Gold is the brash, silver-tongued agent who molds Vinny Chase into the blockbuster movie star he becomes as the show progresses. Expertly played by Jeremy Piven, Ari Gold is hands down the show's best, and best-dressed, character. So in honor of the Entourage movie and Ari Gold's all-around badassery, I decided to write a post on Ari's flyest looks throughout the series, plus an (as PC as possible) quote pairing to go along with each look. Hit the jump to read on.
In an effort to post content more consistently, I'm starting a weekly series called "Things I Want Thursdays." (If anyone can think of a better name, which I'm sure you can, please send it my way!) In this series, I'm going to post 3-5 things that I, well, want. Cost generally won't be considered as these posts are more about things I like not necessarily things that are practical or within my ability to purchase responsibly. That's not to say everything I post will be super-expensive, I'm just saying if it stands out to me, it stands out to me.
Anyways, I'm shooting to include three categories of items in each post. Namely, something to 1) wear to work 2) stick in your office and 3) wear on the weekend. So without further ado, please click on the jump to see what I've been gawking at this past week. As always, if you have any suggestions PLEASE send them my way. I'm always looking for feedback on what's working, what's not, and what you'd want to see.
